Well, it’s been a long time. But I’ve managed to get book two, The Crystalline Shadow out into the world. You can find it on Amazon in ebook and paperback formats.

The Crystalline Shadow is about the same size as The Tame Ones, and it picks up just days after the end of The Tame Ones. This book does take a bit of a darker turn, and unlike the first book, there is a clear cliffhanger.

I’ve got book three about half-written, and I know where it’s going and what’s gonna happen at the end. And yes, there WILL be another cliffhanger at the end. But the third book, The Witch Crystal, is in the works, and I project a late July to late August publish date for the summer of 2027. Because I’m working simultaneously on my epic fantasy series (under a different pseudonym for genre clarity) I’m planning to publish one book a year for the Witches’ War.

Yes, I plan to publish under multiple pseudonyms. I made this decision for several reasons. One, genre clarity, as mentioned, but also, it might look a tad…WRONG to have people looking up my books and finding children’s books right alongside romance novels. Therefore, I’ll be publishing as Ellie Robbins, for children’s books. As you already know, K.D. Rill, for urban fantasy and steampunk novels. Epic fantasy (which will include a single planned urban fantasy because it’s part of a series) will be under L.E. Ansel. And romance novels will be under L.E. Lorne.

Once The Witches’ War is done, I’m eye-balling one of my stand-alone novels, to publish under K.D. Rill. We’ll have to see, because it was originally written as a fantasy novel, but I got a wild hair a few years ago and attempted to rewrite it as an urban fantasy. It didn’t work, for several reasons. HOWEVER…I can’t get it off my mind, and it occurred to me…urban fantasy won’t work, but steampunk might. Soooo…I’m exploring the potential of this novel as a steampunk instead, which will fall under the K.D. Rill umbrella.

If you’re interested in epic fantasy, you might want to check out my novel on Amazon, called Genesis Mage, under my L.E. Ansel penname. It’s the first novel in a four book series, which is the first series set on the same world as three other planned series, each with four books in them. A total of sixteen novels, all set on the world of Aea, in different eras. The first series introduces Lirrin, Ihllaea, Daeg…and an unknown ‘green presence.’ Is he or she good? Bad? Neutral? Who knows? Oh wait, I do. But I’m not tellin’! At least no here, anyway.

Well, that’s all from the desk. I hope anyone who’s reading will forgive my long absence on the website. And I hope if you’re in the market for an urban fantasy or an epic fantasy, you might check out my stories!

Happy reading!
